This weekend, October 3-5, is the campout at Valley Crest. The address is 70
Valley Crest Road in Clinton, right off of route 31 across from the high
school. If you make a u-turn at Allerton road it is the road right before
the police station. We will meet there at 5:30 on Friday and there will be
the first flag raising ceremony at 6. Everybody, including family and
friends, are welcome to join us. No sign up is needed if you are only coming
to the ceremony. Scouts coming to the ceremony please wear your uniforms.

For the scouts signed up, we will meet at the SITE at 5:30 on Friday. Please
wear your Class A uniforms and bring your gear. I will need a few older
scouts and adults help load the trailer tonight with the cookboxes, tents,
etc. after the PLC. It is very important that if you are not signed up and
want to go, sign ups end tonight.

This will be a very exciting campout, we will go apple picking, and have
lots of good food! On Saturday, we will all take a trip to Mr. Loeffler's
memorial service. We will be wearing Class A uniforms to that. Even if you
are not going on the trip, please try to attend the service. We also need
more adults to come on this exciting trip.

Hands on instruction in trout fishing using assorted baits and lures. Scouts need to bring a light or ultra light rod with 4 to 6lb line, as well as appropriate clothing, hat, and sunscreen. Nice to have gear would include polarized sunglasses, hook removal tool, net, and waders if you have them.

WWII Weekend at Mid Atlantic Air Museum at Reading PA Airport. WWII aircraft, vehicles, and recreator encampments, complete with mock battles and airshow, plus a military flea market. Scouts should bring hats, sunscreen, folding chairs, and cameras. Security is tight, and no coolers, containers, or food will be allowed, so bring at least $10 for the food and drink vendors (and flea market shopping). Rain date is 6/8/2014.

Two days of skiing at Okemo. Feb 28 - Mar 2nd.

Due to hurricane Sandy we were forced to cancel this event last year. Please come along to welcome the new scouts and parents. 

Our Court of Honor Family Dinner is scheduled for Sunday, September 8^th at Heritage/Husko Park in Bethlehem Township under the pavilion from 2 to 5 PM that afternoon (rain or shine).  The 4 scouts hosting the event and working on their Communications Merit Badge have been hard at work planning the event and helping to get the information needed for our RSVP list.   The Troop Website (www.troop191nj.org) is ready for RSVP’s.  We would like to have everyone respond with either a yes or no answer on the website for proper planning along with the food item you will be contributing for our buffet if you are planning on attending.

Scouts attending the ATT Global Operations Center tour must have a Permission Form signed by a parent or guardian.
