BSA Troop 191

Dear Scouts and Adults,

The monthly planning meeting has been moved. It will now be on Wednesday, May 28th. Please come attend! It is a great thing to be at!!!!!

The monthy PLC scheduled for November 27 will be held as planned beginning at 6:30PM at the Bethlehem Township Community Center.

Parents Meeting is May 3rd.  At least one parent per scout family.

April 26th is a Summer Camp meeting.

May 3rd meeting: Tenderfoot requirement 7 and 4b, Second class requirement 3e, and First class requirement 7a.  We will also be doing merit badge cards.

The March 29th meeting will feature Order of the Arrow Elections and the Civil Rights and Duties Speech.  Both are extremely important.  We need at least half of the troop for OA elections, and the Civil Rights and Duties speech only happens about once a year.  Attendance this week is important!  Scouts who already have the Civil Rights and Duties requirement will be reviewing first aid.

At the April 5th meeting Nick will be teaching Tenderfoot requirements 12a (choking) and requirement 10a (the 30 day physical fitness requirement). All new scouts should attend to start the fitness requirement.  Fred will be teaching Second Class requirement 2 (leave no trace).  Ryan will be teaching First Class requirement 7a.

There is no meeting April 12th during Spring Break.

At the April 19th meeting we will be reviewing every swim related requirement in preparation for the rafting trip.

At the April 26th meeting we will be doing Tenderfoot requirement 5, Second Class requirement 7c, and First Class requirements 8a and 8c.

Hope you all had a great holiday. Posting this since we had a holiday and no troop meeting last week.

1. The troop meeting this week will be held at the Bethlehem Township Community Center due to a school conflict.
2. The monthly PLC meeting is tonight (11/29). All patrols are expected to be represented so patrol leaders should make arrangements for coverage.
3. There are two online signups (Vermont Ski Trip and Crossover Camping) that will close on December 1.
4. Another online signup for the Winter Klondike at Yards Creek Scout Reservation in January is available.
5. Scouts doing Robotics, Mrs. Bernick is planning a trip to Liberty Science Center on Saturday. Please see your email and RSVP if you have not already done so.
6. For scouts doing Climbing Merit Badge that were unable to attend the troop outdoor climbing event can contact Mr. Rusnock to attend one of his future scheduled events to complete those requirements.
7. For scouts planning their Eagle Scout Rank Advancement there are new procedures and workbook. These are available online in the troop website Documents area. See Mr. Smith if you have questions or need more information.
