Leaders will be at this weeks meeting to assist scouts with summer camp planning. Our current advancement coordinator for many years after two sons becoming Eagle Scouts she has decided to move on from her role. This leaves an important vacancy in the troop committee that we have been advertising over the last several months. Without an advancement coordinator scouts cannot advance! If you are familiar with advancement in Boy Scouts or have a desire to become knowledgeable in advancement procedures and have a passion working with young scouts then please contact the committee chair as soon as possible.
There are several events coming up that have online signups available. So far interest has been lite and one or more events are at risk of being canceled. If you wish to attend these events please visit the troop website and signup online. There is also a canoe trip this weekend with availability, if interested see a recent email about this activity. Many of these events are a direct result of our annual scout planning so they should be desired and well attended by our scouts.
Online signups are back; going forward all signups will be online. You can visit the site anytime to see the roster for each event and activity, additionally a hardcopy roster will be available at each troop meeting. Further enhancements to permit multiple family signups in a single submission and overall security changes that will require that you be signed in to view content are coming soon.
Please try to attend the troop meeting on Thursday May 23 as the annual youth protection presentations will be made. And beginning with the first meeting in June we will be at the Bethlehem Township Community Center for the summer break and Class-B uniforms are permitted.
