Our Scouts have expressed interest in repeating last year’s successful ski trip to Vermont. We are already in discussions with The Ocean Ski Club to nail down a workable dates, possibly again the week after Christmas or mid-February. We have a lot more planning to do, but would like to gauge interest now before proceeding too far.
The basics:
-
Three days of skiing (last year we skied Pico 2 days and Okemo 1 day.
-
Overnight accomodations at the Ocean Ski Club lodge in Chittenden, VT.
-
Full cooking facilities and a great place to hang out after a hard day of skiing.
-
Room for about 15-18 Scouts.
-
This kind of trip only works with a good amount of adult leaders – a minimum of 5.
-
Pricing is still TBD and depends on what mountains we ski and amount of scouts (to spread common costs). Last year, the cost was about $150 all-in for the tickets, breakfast / dinners, and lodging. Reasonably speaking, I expect it to be a bit more this year, but we all want this to be as affordable as possible.
If your Scout and/or you are interested in this trip, please take a few minutes to sign up online. You will be hearing more about this trip in the coming weeks.
